My View...
I'm embarking on a photography project for 2011 that I'm very excited about.
The project is called "Our View 2011" and is the brainchild of Melissa and Rachael. It's a way for us to stay connected even though we are thousands of miles apart. Well, Rachael is anyway and Melissa will soon be. And, a way for us to stretch our creative muscles. Here is a description of the project in Rachael's own words.
"We have decided to do a Year Long Project, once a week images based on “The View”. One week you may find collages of images, “OUR view” at a predetermined point in time…East Coast and West Coast. You may also find images based on [OUR] view of a particular word, phrase or way of life..."
Couldn't have said it better myself.
So, here is my image that captures the word Adventure:
This can either be called "What adventure looks like to a 4 year old." Or "Nothing says adventure like the General Lee." You choose.

Thanks Ladies! Yes, that would the the nifty 50. My goal is to use it as much as possible to get the hang of the manual focus and super-shallow depth of field. :-)
